Welcome to Penwyth House
Penwyth House is an early 19th century property in the village of St Columb Minor on the outskirts of Newquay, Cornwall.
We are a cosy four bedroom (three of which are garden-facing) Bed & Breakfast just a short walk from Porth Beach and Newquay Town Centre.
Close to Porth & Newquay
Penwyth House is situated in the quiet village of St Columb Minor, on the outskirts of Newquay in Cornwall.
This makes us close enough to be able to enjoy a scenic walk to Newquay in about 30 minutes (or a 5 minute drive), yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet and peaceful nature of our little village.
Porth Beach & Watergate Bay
Our local beach, Porth Beach, is about a 15 minute walk away. It’s great for swimming and bodyboarding, with a pub on the beach and an ice cream hut.
Or, you can enjoy a breathtaking coastal walk to Watergate Bay, which will take about 45 minutes. Watergate Bay is perfect for surfing and other water sports, and has a variety of cafés and restaurants to enjoy.
Continental Breakfast is included
All guests can enjoy a continental breakfast served from 8am – 9:30am daily. A simple but great breakfast will all be laid out in the dining room including orange juice, white or brown bread, fresh fruit, six different cereals and yoghurt. There is a guest fridge in the kitchen which you are welcome to keep beverages and any treats you might want. During peak months there is an option for a small but healthy cooked breakfast with salmon or bacon. Please note we do not cook a full english.
If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when booking so we can accommodate you.
Mark & Lisa Woods
Both my wife and myself are laid back and love to meet new people. We love our tiny village with its pub and beautiful church where we got married, and count our neighbours as friends. Mark and Lisa will do their absolute best to help make your stay with them a memorable and happy one full of good memories. You are our top priority!
We live in the house and have dogs (Whippets) that are super friendly and are kept away from the guest areas apart from the garden.
