I loved entering the garden gate (when I'd fathomed out the entry system!) into the beautiful garden. The very warm welcome we received from Lisa and then Mark on his return. The decor throughout the house is lovely. Our room was spacious and airy with a great sized bathroom. The bed was so very comfortable. I loved the bath sheet sized towel and was thrilled when I saw you had the same towels as us. Very often the towels are no larger than a hanky! The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order on the morning. A great location despite no onsite carpark, we were lucky to park right outside on the road but the church carpark is just down the road. A very quiet area within walking distance of a great pizza restaurant or a pub just across the road. You surpassed my expectations, thank you!

Wir haben 2 Wochen in dieser tollen Unterkunft verbracht. Lisa und Mark haben uns aufgenommen, als würden wir zur Familie gehören. Das Frühstück war nicht nur hervorragend, sondern auch zugleich der perfekte Start in den Tag mit angeregten Gesprächen über das Erlebte und vielen neuen guten Tipps für die nächsten Ausflüge oder Aktivitäten. Ein größerer kostenloser Parkplatz ist keine 2 Minuten vom schönen und liebevoll gestalteten Haus mit Garten entfernt. Auch ein typischer uriger Pub mit Biergarten und sehr reichlichen Portionen 🙂 ist gleich um die Ecke. Neben wunderschönen Stränden und beeindruckenden Küstenwanderungen gab es so viel zu entdecken und zu erleben… ein rundherum gelungener Urlaub 🙂 Wir kommen gern wieder😊

Wir waren 10 Tage vor Ort, da die Unterkunft zu den unterschiedlichsten Ausflugszielen in Cornwall zentral gelegen ist. Unser Auto konnten wir auf dem nahe gelegenen Parkplatz an der Kirche problemlos parken. Hinter dem Tor erwartete uns eine kleine Oase, wo wir auch von Mark und Lisa herzlich in Empfang genommen worden sind. Unser Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und geräumig ausgestattet und gleichzeitig angenehm ruhig. Auch das Frühstück wurde liebevoll zubereitet und es wurden verschiedene Optionen an Toasts, Pancakes und Müsli angeboten. Falls man noch Tipps für Unternehmungen suchte, so hatte Mark immer Vorschläge.

Highly recommend, Mark & Lisa went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing less than excellent. As it was my partners birthday I wanted to do something special and they were very accommodating to my requests. Even went the extra miles and bought an ice bucket 🙌🏻. The place was welcoming, spotless, and breakfast in the morning was something to look forward to, especially marks Pancakes 👌🏻. Definitely the go to.

The hosts are very welcoming and warm. I was travelling by bike and left my bike in the garden overnight, which was very convenient for safety. It is a quiet area, with a pub in a 1 minute walk. Very good breakfast. Perfect if you are cycling in Cornwall since the National Cycle Route 32 runs right down the street.

Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt,in Cornwall, auf jeden Faöl wieder im Penwyth House. Uns hat alles gefallen. Insgesamt ist es eine tolle Unterkunft. Es spiegelt den Flair von Cornwall wieder. Lisa und Mark führen ihr B&B mit sehr viel Liebe und Leidenschaft. Besonders gutes Frühstück! Toller Frühstücksraum… tolle Gespräche. Zauberhafter Garten!

It was a lovely cosy room which was very clean. Mark and Lisa were exceptional hosts. The bed was very comfy and great shower with all required amenities. Lots of lovely little touches, they noticed we had some bubbles with us, and there magically appeared some flutes without needing to ask! Beautiful garden. Breakfast was great. Overall, it was great and we loved our stay.

Zimmer, Badezimmer, Frühstücksraum und Garten - wunderschön. Extrem sauber. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Gastgeber und tolles, liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück. Pub mit gutem Essen um die Ecke.

Super friendly, amazing room and lovely vibe. It’s been said before but Mark and Lisa are great hosts. Breakfast was amazing and you are welcomed into their home as friends. We stayed in the Garden Room. Lovely art work and decoration. Everything is really good quality. Comfy bed, duvet and pillows. We got to enjoy the garden as well. Room serviced every day. Great shower. Farmers Arms on your doorstep with great food and drink. Loved every minute.

We didn’t want to leave!! The property was beautiful, very rustic and in such a peaceful quiet area, It felt like a home. We loved our stay at penwyth house with Lisa and Mark. They were fantastic hosts and really made you feel comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and I’ve gone away with a garlic pepper obsession! We stayed in the crantock room, it was spacious and very relaxing after a long day exploring and the freestanding bath was an added bonus to help with aching muscles. The hosts couldn’t do enough for you, really down to earth people with amazing knowledge of where to visit, eat etc. we would love to come back to stay for our next trip to Cornwall! Thank you for having us ❤️

It was a very nice and cosy house. I loved the kitchen. The breakfast was very special and very, very tasty. My room was large and cosy. It was cleaned every day and restocked with what was consumed. Mark and Lisa were very welcoming and gave good tips on excursions. It was about a 20 minute walk to the beach and from there you could start a cliff walk. We did not have our own car park, but there were plenty of parking spaces on the street.

Just so lovely clean comfortable bed just you own little room in the garden with lovely plants also our host were amazing the breakfasts are to die for so yummy and there so helpful with there local knowledge so it’s a must place to stay if you ever down there to travel I couldn’t not recommend this place enough

Wonderful room, hosts, food and location. We were made very welcome and Lisa and Mark are very knowledgeable of the area and helpful with suggestions. We walked everywhere during our stay and were perfectly located for lovely beaches and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Lovely home and centrally located in Newquay to all you would want to see in Cornwall. Free parking by the home and a great English pub less than 100 meters from the B&B. The home is fresh, clean, modern and with loads of water pressure. 😁

The hosts are very welcoming and nice. Whatever question you have, they are always happy to answer and give very good recommendations. The breakfast is lovely - home made food that tastes delicious. The garden and rooms are really thoughtfully decorated.

Lisa and Mark are outstanding hosts who run their B&B with heart, energy, and real care for every guest. I stayed in the Crantock Suite—a gorgeous room with a beautiful morning view of the garden. Perfectly placed for exploring Truro, Newquay, and Padstow.

Lovely little gem just outside Newquay in a lovely village setting close to the farmers arms which does lovely food so you can a have a drink without worrying about driving. Great host Lisa and Mark were very friendly with lots of information will definitely come back

Everything about this property was perfect. Mark and Lisa are wonderful hosts. They are engaging is the most lovely way. Always so so friendly and helpful with everything, from how your day went to offers of places to go depending on your personal preferences and of course the weather. Close to Newquay but without the hustle and bustle. Peaceful place to stay with the local pub “The Farmers Arms” who serve the best evening meal at the end of an exhausting day so no need to go anywhere else. The accommodation was so perfect, clean, beautiful gardens, wonderful freshly cooked breakfast great location. Everything perfect. Just try it. You will not be disappointed. Honestly this will ruin my chances of staying again because everyone will want to stay here. Best thing I can say is :- “you’ll arrive as a guests and hosts, but you will leave as best friends”
